As a musician myself I can't think of anyone who creates music like she does, and thats what turns me on : Every emotion and feeling is catered for and expressed. If you can't sleep, need comforting, want to go mad in a club, want to rip someones head off or whatever She definately deserves this award. Her music has such feeling and emotion in it. It's not only for one group of people, it's for ervyone, icluding rockers[like me]. She has a beautiful voice and is absolutely one of the most talented people in the industry.
All the other nominees do not stand out as she does. She is the one that most deserves the award because of her inspiring music. Her lyrics are the answers to all my questions Goddess incarnate: she's the reason why!!! Matt , Australia I think these comments alone show why Bjork deserves this award. People from all around the world are here expressing there love for this amazing artist, this is what "world music" is all about.
I've been drove in the most refreshing, moving and overwhelming singin I have ever heard. Not been a big fan I moved from the foolish happiness to the tears with this song.
Award or not, matters not a bit. She earned a place in our lifes, marking us with a musical tatoo our skins She deserves more recognition for her work! Byron, Wokingham Out of all the female singers in the history of pop, only Bjork's siren voice could have dragged me away from a lifetime of rock music, as a willing captive.
And she's a babe not relevant, I know! Dragi from Repoblic of Macedonia She is from another space. Her voice is sande from God. She is a Godess. This award is vary small for her. She give her music to us. Her fans. I will always love her. Chrysostomos , Cyprus Her voice is monadic so literal and unique. A foremost, outstanding and superb person sui generis and unary in every verse of her songs.

Craig, Cardiff It does not matter whether Bjork wins this award or not because one thing she has already won is the hearts of millions accross the globe. Few artists can boast that. But she really hepls making the music keep going I think Medulla is an impresive art project. Bold, fresh and original.
Giancarlo, Rome She is one of the best musicians, composer and singer i heard in my life. Bjork must be Yoko Ono's biggest fan. If you want to yodle go back to the jungle with tarzan Aiiiiyahaya! Bjork, trying to be original is something you dont "try" to do, it happens naturally, so stop giving this "look at me im wearing a swan on my back" to get attention, and listen to some real music hgmmmmm THE BEATLES!

She deserves for win! Richard Dorrell Just to prove boundaries can be as much introspective as geographical Bethany , Virginia She's inspiring.
She's unique. She's experimental. She is an incredible Sufi singer with a gorgeous voice. It's interesting to hear those poems sung by a woman. Female energy is different somehow, not better, just different … more pure emotion, and more open somehow. More receptive. It's hard to describe. I'm on a slippery slope describing sound!
Their new album is coming out and I am so excited! They're truly talented, one of the most interesting groups to come from that side of the Atlantic. David [Longstreth] has an almost psychic ability to write for other voices — his melody lines have a different character depending on who they are written for. And he is a great singer himself, too.
I feel really lucky to have been a fly-on-the-wall and witnessed them growing, because they are good, but their best is yet to come. David wrote melody lines for me in the Mount Wittenberg piece , and it was the second time I'd experienced that the other time was with John Tavener.
I feel really honoured to be an instrument, to be their extension. We haven't performed it live yet though. Hopefully soon. I love it so much! It's the most alkaline thing you can find and I use it for everything. Did you know you can have a total blood transfusion with it? Nutritionally, it's the only thing you could survive on alone! Just that and you'd be getting all you need. Handy to know for when one is stuck on a desert island. I love hiking in Iceland most, there are lots of brilliant paths.
I also enjoyed hiking in Idaho, and Yakushima, the Japanese rainforest island that Princess Mononoke was based on. There's something about the rhythm of walking, how, after about an hour and a half, the mind and body can't help getting in sync. I have written most of my melodies walking and I feel it is definitely one of the most helpful ways of sewing all of the different things in your life together and seeing the whole picture.
I have to say, hiking in cities doesn't do the same trick for me. It has to be rural. I've been watching some interviews with him about psychomagic, and his episode about tarot. It's pretty excellent. I like how he is passionate and matter-of-fact about these things that are too often dealt with with whimsical new-age-ness. Overall, I really enjoy a lot of South America's take on modernity and nature. As you have probably gathered by now, I have a complicated relationship with cities.
The majority of touring I have done, for more than two-thirds of my life, has been to cities. But I left it in because I really like humming. My grandmother and mother would hum. I love it, especially when people are sleepy or not professionals. But Where Is the Line is too complicated-the human beat box, the static production, the Seven Dwarfs-style whistling.
I wanted a head-banging track, like Goth, gory horror music. My splatter B-movie. I just piss myself laughing. I thought punk was a bit too easy-throwing up and swearing? Those artists jumped off the edge. I went solo at 27 because I felt I was just having too easy of a life. I was relaxing, going to band rehearsal, playing with my little baby. I had to give it a go instead of being a consumer who made everybody else take the big risks.
